Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Pineapple Upside Down Cake is one tricky cake to make. Sometimes you’re successful, other times you’re not. This cake was a little bit of both. This Pineapple Upside Down Cake recipe comes from my aunty. She doesn’t consider herself a baker but anything she makes always comes out so good. I guess if you got it like that you got it like that.
So I told Aunty I wanted to make a Pineapple Upside Down Cake and could she help me. Begrudgingly she said yes. But if you know her that’s just her, she’s all sweet but will give you a hard time. She gave me a list of ingredients and we planned that Saturday we would make the cake.
The time had come it was Saturday and I was ready to go. We then proceed to follow her recipe to the T. I was so nervous about helping. You know when something is new to you and you don’t want to screw up so you’re taking even more precautions cause you know with baking one wrong step and things can go south quickly.
Pineapple Upside Up?
Now I’m not sure you are familiar with why they call it Pineapple Upside Down Cake. You make the cake in an upside-down order. So that when you flip it the cake comes out with the Pineapples on top. It’s kind of a Bakers Party trick. lol. Well, we got played.
So it’s time to flip over the cake and something already seems off but I was ready to go. Camera in hand trying to get the angels because hello I’m Captured Desserts. My aunt flipped over the cake and you guessed it the pineapple was on the bottom not the top. I take this as you win some and lose some. I was still excited it looked so good and moist. We started cutting slices to taste. Man, it was divine and so sweet just as I remembered it to be.
But this is the fun of making desserts and the memories you make in doing so. And me and my aunt got even closer. Let me know below in the comments if you would like the recipe.
