Mouth Watering Apple Rose Tarts

I’m literally a fan of anything apple and roses. Like, what else could a girl want? With this recipe, I think I’ve made these Apple Rose tarts at least 10 times or more and it’s always a hit.

Now, to be honest, I really can’t remember the exact occasion I first made these tarts, but it works in so many situations.

I made these Apple Rose Tarts for breakfast, dessert for after a meal, and I think even for a family picnic. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I will say everyone always wants more of these delightful treats and they get eaten up so fast. I’ve been told they are so good. I should try to make a cocktail drink that tastes just like these tarts and it would be a winner. So maybe I’ll give that a try. What do you think?

So if you like all things cinnamon, apple, and sugar with just the right amount of tartness with flakiness from a puff pastry this dessert is for you.

Now I’ll be honest these little suckers are a tad bit time-consuming. On cutting the apples just right. Buttering and layering the puff pastry with cinnamon and so on. But girl just push through it will be worth it in the end trust me. I did try making them the night before once and then putting them in the oven in the morning and it turned out perfectly as well. So give that a try too.

So I think that’s enough chit-chat. Here’s the recipe girl on how to make it. Enjoy!

Apple Rose Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 Sheet puff pastry
  • 4 apples
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tsp of sugar
  • 4 tbsp of butter

(Now I will tell you, for the cinnamon sugar mix, I eyeball it. I know how sweet I like it so do as you please. So, I suggest making this mixture based on your sugar level taste. I like to really taste the cinnamon and sugar)

Directions

  1. Cut the apples into thin slices. Put into a microwave-safe bowl. Pour lemon juice on them. Microwave for at least 2 minutes for the apples to get soft (you may need to add more lemon juice to help it along)
  2. Cut pastry into 6 strips. Brush on Melted butter and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  3. Line up the apple slices on the pastry. Overlapping so that it will create the rose effect
  4. Fold the puff pastry up to the apples. Like a little blanket. then roll it up. I think I like to pinch the sides to make sure nothing is peaking
  5. Place tarts in a cupcake tin pan and bake for 4ooF for 25-30 minutes
  6. When they are done. sprinkle a little more cinnamon sugar mix on top and enjoy

I hope you give this recipe a go. After you’ve done it once it becomes so easy. And now it is one of those recipes I have in my back pocket whenever I need to make a dessert that has a little flair to it.

In the comments please share how it went or if you need some help or have questions.

Stay sweet,
